My language arts work.

For my La work I will be showcasing my penguin story.  It was a free post in which I wrote about a penguin the lived on an island. He also was an inventor who made all sorts of cool inventions. His island was surrounded by killer sharks and lions seals. He had to protect himself. He hired a penguin weapon inventor.

For science I will be showcasing one of my challenger mission prep assignments. The challenger mission is a nasa setup that allows kids to experience some of what astronauts do. It was a really fun mission. The goal of the mission was to rendezvous with comet Halley.

For my music work I will be posting a picture of my music composition. It took me two classes and I made a piano composition. I was able to play it pretty well.

This poem is about Christmas in particular.

Christmas is a time for family

It is a time to spend time with the people you love

It is is a time to open presents

It is a time to eat good food

But more importantly it is a time to spend time the the people you love and care about.

This poem describes how I think of holidays, it tells of how I see special occasions in contrast to how some people feel about them.

My penguin story

This is the story of a penguin and his apprentice who live in an ocean surrounded by dangerous sharks and seals. The penguins are both inventors and will have to use all there wit and skill o get by. Read on to discover the Penguin Story.

There once was a penguin who’s name was Timmy. He was a penguin inventor. He lived on his own private island which was about a quarter mile in diameter. He also had an apprentice who’s name was little Johnny. Timmy was a engineer who mostly made transportation related things. Little Johnny on the other hand mostly made combat stuff and the islands defenses against predatory animals.

They worked together a lot to make things work. Like when Timmy made a boat, little Johnny made the defenses and guns on it. The boat  was a little sailboat with flat sides that had a little curve to mount weapons. Little Johnny made a spring propulsion harpoon mounted at the bow of the ship. It had a meter long harpoon and a crank to cock it. Ot could take out a full grown great white shark. He also made a mini spring rifle with blade sights. He could nock out a seals eye at 25 yards with that. It shot a 3 inch dart.

The place of all places

In this post I will be talking about one of the most fun places I have ever had the luck to visit. Canada. More specifically Kelona. I went there for skiing purposes at Big White. It is a ski resort we’re we had a penthouse. We shared it with three other families who we were traveling with. We have been friend with them for years. We were there for 11 days. I had been there once already and knew the rides I wanted to do.

We got there and spent one day chillin around the ski village getting our equipment and getting unloaded. I got skis and I am the only one in my family to use skis. I also bought new goggles because my old ones didn’t fit me. I also rented a helmet and boots.

The next day we hit the trail. That day we stayed mostly on green and yellows (the easier ones) and sometimes did a blue trail. The order of trail hardness levels goes orange, yellow, green, blue, black, double black diamond. The next few days me and my dad who was the other best snow maneuverer, he used a snowboard, and did some black trails like piece of cake and another one.

That was one of my most fun trips and I hope to be able to visit again.

The Christmas poem

Christmas is a time for family

A time for fun

a time for presents and holiday joy

but prsents are secondary to the real importance of Christmas’s to enjoy the time you have to spend with family.

 

 The point of this poem is to show that christmas is not only a time for presents and good food but spending time with family

My opinions about school

  1. I think that my school is great
  2. I also think that since my school is small I am getting a better education than at a big class
  3.  third I think that the teachers are nice friendly and helpful
  4. Last I like the campus and since it is a small school the place is fairly small and it is next to impossible to get lost

Penguins!!!!

Penguins are a race of flightless birds. They are, for the most part black white and orange at the flippers. There are 17 species of penguins that are all slightly different. There are the emperor penguin, the adelie, African, the chinstrap,the erect-crested, fiordland, the Galapagos, the gentoo, the humbolt, king, the little, the macaroni penguin, the magelanic, the rockhopper, the royal, the snares, and the yellow eyed penguin. Most penguins are found in the Southern Hemisphere or Antarctica. Some can be found in the Galapagos.

My favorite penguin is probably the Little Penguin. It can grow up to roughly 33 cm.

How to properly attribute a picture

I got this image by first going to Creative Commons and selecting images. Then I typed in longbows and copied the Image then pasted it into my post. Then I typed what I wanted the label to be, then I selected the chain looking Icon and pasted the link then hit done.

First I went to media, then I selected upload files. Then I hit the option for  photo library and picked my picture. And then I labeled it via photo library.
